Target Audience

In order to make sufficient profit to keep a newspaper going newspapers have to target certain sectors of the population. This may be age, political views, or their social demographic. This has to be chosen and stuck to, it is a proven way that the newspapers make profit. My target audience is the young to middle age, this is because truly young people do not pay much attention to the news anyway so they would not be a good group to target and O.A.P.s are already being covered by the County Press. I feel that there needs to be a newspaper on the Island that relates local news to national news this in itself will make island news which is ordinarily quite slow a bit more punchy and exciting for a younger audience of islanders that are not being adhered to.
